I was very delighted to be given the chance to review some products for the brand Bubba Chew Silicone Jewellery and Teethers. Below I will go through each product I received and my review of it.
Bird Teether (Bottom left)
The Bird Teether is super cute! The silicone is high quality and is free from toxic BPA, PVC, Cadmium and lead (From card in package.)
The softness of the teether is gentle for gums and easy to hold. The shape of the bird allows bubs to easily hold it.
The little bumps on the teether help with massaging the baby's gums.
Positives: Soft silicone so easy on gums. Easy to hold with it's shape. Easy to wash and clean (with warm water.) Super cute!
Negatives: A little big for bubs at the moment and could maybe poke himself with it. (Very small negative!)
Muslin Wrap (Top left)
Bubs loves to be swaddled to sleep. From day 1 we have swaddled him and I find when I don't swaddle he takes longer to get to sleep. A muslin wrap is perfect for this, especially when I am out and about. The cotton material of the wrap is soft and lightweight. It has the cutest pattern of Koala's over it with white background. It is very large so it will last bubs a long time. It is machine washable in cold or warm water.
Positives: Cotton which is lightweight. It is so large and it will last a long time. Cute pattern and gender neutral.
Negatives: In colder weather it is very light, but can be doubled over. When swaddling needs to be wrapped tight.
Teething Glove (Top Right)
A friend of mine has one of these gloves and I was looking at it only a few weeks ago. I think they are an amazing idea.
The glove goes on to baby's hand, and the silicone top allows bub to suck and chew on the glove without ruining clothes.
It is a little big for bubs at the moment, but he can still place it on his hand. The material on the bottom is very lightweight and durable. There is a velcro fastener on the bottom to tighten it onto baby's hand, too.
The positives: It helps with baby's teething and gums. Saves clothes from being chewed on (or in bubs case his knuckle from going bright red.) Durable material and light weight. Made from silicone so it is soft on baby's gums. Easy to fasten on.
The negatives: A little big for bubs at the moment so it is a little heavy on his hand.
The Nursing Necklaces
I had already purchased one of necklace from Bubba Chew and I have been wearing it nearly every single day since. The idea of a nursing necklace is for baby to play with the necklace whilst feeding instead of getting distracted or pulling on mummy's hair (which we all know happens!)
Each necklace has silicone objects on them to help when baby begins teething. The long material for the chain means I don't need to feel worried that bubs will get hurt from the chain. But also the length of the necklace is perfect for when I am feeding, as it reaches him without an issue.
Overall Comments
Positive:
The company is wonderful to deal with and very friendly. Each product comes with a card with information on the products and how to clean them. Every product comes in it's own package which can be great for being out and about and keeping them clean. Overall very professional looking and of very good quality.
Negative:
The only negative I can think of is that the products come in plastic packages. When trying to be environmentally friendly and cut down on the plastic we use, this can be counter-productive.
